2/3rd of our water is held back by the Saguaro Lake Dam.

I visited here recently.

When the water is released from the Saguaro Dam: the water is green with algae.

We stopped by this area on July 4, 2023, to perform water tests and play our fiddles for a group of young people.

When this Saguaro Dam water reaches your water treatment plant – they must add much chlorine to kill the algae.  They also add many more chemicals to treat the water.  These chemicals stay in your water.

1/3 of your water comes from 715 miles away (Colorado River Water).

I have been fortunate to hike the Grand Canyon twice (stayed at the Phantom Ranch each time overnight and hiked out the next day); and road a mule down one time (stayed the night at the Phantom Ranch and road out the next day).

This is an image of our second hiking trip to stay at the Phantom Ranch.

All three times I saw that the water is very green with algae.

This is an image of the bridge that crosses over the Colorado River on the way to Phantom Ranch.  https://www.grandcanyonlodges.com/lodging/phantom-ranch/

The water is green with algae.

The water at the bottom of the Grand Canyon travels 715 miles to your water treatment plant.  When the Colorado River water reaches your water treatment plant; the water is very green.

Before your water treatment plant delivers the water to your home: your water treatment plant adds much chlorine to this water to kill the algae.

We perform chlorine tests (with a pool kit) in your homes.  Sometimes the chlorine content of your water is as much as a swimming pool; sometimes your water contains more chlorine than a swimming pool.

Chlorine disintegrates plastics and metals.  The main ingredient of water softeners is plastic.

When your water softener has been exposed to your city water – the chlorine will disintegrate the cation resin and cause low water pressure in your home.

The piece of your water softener that holds back the resin (the lower collector) will break because of the high chlorine.

When this cation resin escapes into your home it will cause low water pressure and clog your pipes.

Here is what we have done to improve this situation (and prevent this cation resin from escaping into your home):

Boyett’s family water treatment manufactures a screen inside your rental water softener so this will never happen.

We have developed a rental water softener process that keeps you over $1,700 ahead all the time.

The most popular approach is to place a carbon filter before the water softener: Pfas filter and soft water: whole house carbon filtration and water softener (all in one package):

One of these tanks contains granular activated carbon media.

This material removes chlorine (and performs this task with excellence).

If this media is not changed at the appropriate time – it will contaminate the water.

Microbiological contamination of drinking water in a commercial household water filter system

Abstract

The microbiological quality of filtered water in a commercial water filter system (Brita) was tested in households and in two laboratories. In 24 of 34 filters used in households, bacterial counts increased in the filtered water up to 6,000 cfu/ml. In 4 of 6 filters tested in the laboratory, bacterial counts in the fresh filtrate were higher than in tap water after approximately one week of use both at room temperature and at 4 degrees C, suggesting growth or biofilm formation in the filter material. In some cases, colony counts in the filtered water were 10,000 times those in tap water. The filter material of 5 of 13 new commercial filters was contaminated with bacteria or molds. National or international regulatory agencies should ensure that water filters marketed for domestic use do not allow deterioration in the microbiological quality of drinking water.

Boyett’s family water treatment utilizes an industry-specific software program to exchange your whole house water equipment at the appropriate time – every time.  We call this process – indubitably exchanging your rental water treatment equipment.

This may be an important point that is being missed in our water treatment industry.  If you have granular activated carbon media in your home – it indubitably needs to be changed on a regular basis.  If your granular activated carbon media is not changed – it may contaminate your water.

H2O CONCEPTS CONTAIN GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON.  This material must be changed on a regular basis.  This may be overlooked in our water treatment industry.

Alumina: 3-8

8 Main Cement Ingredients & Their Functions – Civil Engineering

Boyett’s family water treatment makes each unit treat AZH2O; just for you.  We utilize a material known as cation resin.

We exchange this material every 5 years so your cation resin does not cause you low water pressure problems in your home (and keeps working great).

This will keep you thousands of dollars ahead all the time.

All my life I have heard that the soft water process in my home will help save hundreds of dollars each month.

Soft water installed in your home is a good investment.

The other thing in life we do is play musical instruments.  I am fortunate to play the violin (fiddle); the mandolin (same strings as the fiddle); and the guitar (has the same strings as the fiddle – they are reversed and an extra one and another the same string).

We are looking for people to play music with us (we meet in Mesa, AZ every Tuesday at 7 p.m.).  You don’t have to be good.  We utilize a musical pedagogical principle known as the power of unison.   No matter the state of your musical ability; be everyone playing the same melody – this sounds like an orchestra.

Some of the members of our fast track music group (I have stopped by their homes to discuss rental water treatment in AZ ‘San Tan Valley’).

An example of this is our 35-year veteran Chicago Police officer.  We are honored to help people connect the dots.  We provide musical instruments (free of charge) and sponsor a couple of lessons (free of charge).  We figure if someone really wants to play a musical instrument – they will do it.

Our 35-year veteran Chicago Police officer really wants to play the guitar.  He continues to inform me this:  he practices every day.

I HAVE been fortunate to grow up and play music with some spectacular music people like Gene Privett.  Gene retired as the golf coach and veteran at Coronado High School.

https://www.susd.org/coronado

Gene was the guitar player for my mentor Lyman Keeling.

Lyman-Keeling-Tribute.pdf (azh2o.com)

One of Gene Privett’s students was Mike Bub.

I was fortunate to play my fiddle with Mike Bub.

Mike Bub went to college to play bluegrass music and began playing the bass fiddle with a famous band called

Del Mcleary band.

Because Howard Anderson (spectacular AZ banjo player) wants to learn the fiddle; I get to learn the banjo.  This is a big deal for me.  If Howard didn’t want to play the fiddle; I wouldn’t be playing the banjo.  Howard visits me on Tuesday nights one hour early and gives me a banjo lesson.  Here is an example of Hayden’s typical banjo lesson.

Because of all this music stuff, I was fortunate to be in this great bluegrass bank (the Red Mountain Bluegrass Band ‘because of my mentor Lyman Keeling’).  Several years ago we played at a Nashville benefit concert at the Ryman Auditorium (had our picture taken with Dolly Parton).

Someday I hope to visit Dollywood and ask Dolly if she will have lunch with us.

https://www.dollywood.com/

In 1993 I took my fiddle to Europe and played on the streets and in the subways for an entire week for my food and lodging.

I learned this important notion: a musician will never go hungry.

I was fortunate to have parents that worked hard, were ambitious and industrious.  I don’t know how they started our Rayne Water Conditioning dealership in the Phoenix Metro Area and Mesa and Tempe and raised two children (these two children seek to honor their parents today).  They were spectacular parents, and they were spectacular water treatment entrepreneurs.

My parents taught me how to value hard work through their example and they also taught me how to love people and provide a good product and service.

At 15.5 years old it was time to get my learner’s permit for driving a motor vehicle.  I showed my parents that I needed to have it.  After school and on the weekends, I’d ride my bicycle around our neighborhood and enroll many of our neighbors in our rental water treatment service.  When my territory was saturated, I presented to my parents that I needed to expand my marketing area.  They acquiesced and allowed me to learn to drive.   I am grateful they taught me how to search for a treasure (how to find a treasure; and how to treasure a treasure).  I honor my mother and father for allowing me to manage their rental water treatment business (it is a thing we try to make better each day).  This is for me their greatest gift to me.

Do I need soft water in Phoenix Metro, East Valley Arizona?

The Phoenix Metro AZ and the East Valley AZ water contain a lot of cement (hard water).   The Phoenix Metro AZ and East Valley AZ water have hard water.

Does Boyett’s family deliver portable exchange soft water tanks?

Indubitably.

We have always performed this work and we always will perform this work.

Portable Exchange Tank Service – Boyett’s Family Water Treatment (azh2o.com)

Our entire company bios and structure revolves around this important process: portable exchange water softeners.

Our people our trucks and our entire company structure begin with our portable exchange tank water softener service.

My father was one of the pioneers in the portable exchange soft water service and the water treatment industry in the Phoenix Metro AZ and East Valley AZ.

Here is a short story about my pop.  I am a proud son.

My father, William Brian Boyett was one of the pioneers in the water treatment industry in the Phoenix Metro area of Arizona.  His companies have provided soft water and reverse osmosis water treatment equipment to residential and commercial clients in the Phoenix Metro area of Arizona and the East Valley.  The purpose of this living historical document is to honor my father and my mother (Roberta Jean Hayden Boyett).  Both people are fine characters and have had a dynamic influence in our water treatment industry and in many people’s lives.   The company they founded 56 years ago: Boyett’s Family Rayne Water Conditioning is still in operation today.  Boyett’s Family is located at 38 East 5th Avenue Mesa, Arizona (azh2o.com).  My name is Brian Hayden Boyett.  I am one of the editors of this historical document and the general manager of Boyett’s Family Rayne Water Conditioning.   I would like to thank all the many people who will be a part of this very important chronicle.   We feel many lives will change (gain great hope for the future) with this success story.

As I watched my parents build our company with their hard work and talent I am so grateful they left us a thing we make better each day.  We perform this work:

One of the secret ingredients in our office business life is Bossy.  A stray cat walked into our office ‘like he owned the place’ and he has been by our side for several years (I hope for many more).  Bossy is always with us and we are glad to have him.

Bossy, I dedicate good business process and design to you.  Thank you for being with us.

Respectfully, Hayden Boyett
