These days we receive calls to repair old water softeners.

When we chat with you, we often ask for a photo of your unit (a close-up and standing about 4 feet away).  We want to make sure we are qualified.

Here are some of the units in which we specialize:

Sears – leaking bypass valves, replace the resin tank and cation resin material.  We often carry recycled bypass valves.

Kenmore – leaking bypass valves, replace the resin tank and cation resin material.  We often carry recycled bypass valves.

Here are the most common problems in these units:

Leaking bypass valves

O rings that have failed

Here is a link in which we explicate the inner workings of water softeners and discuss the reasons water softeners disintegrate in our Arizona – high chlorine environment

Fleck 5600 water softener valve – leaking bypass valves, replace the resin tank and cation resin material.  We often carry recycled bypass valves.

Clack ws-1 water softener valve – leaking bypass valves, replace the resin tank and cation resin material.  We often carry recycled bypass valves.

As the valley grows we are developing processes to learn about all the different types of water softeners and become experts to help you fix them.

Our valley is now 6 million strong; it will grow to 12 million people in 15 years.  Many of you will need help to maintain your water softeners and reverse osmosis units.

As the old water units reach 5 years old – they need to be replaced.

Here are two affordable options:

Water softener replacement option:

Classic Water Softener – Boyett’s Family Water Treatment (azh2o.com)

As little as $1.00/ day – one person

Reverse osmosis replacement option:

Reverse Osmosis – Boyett’s Family Water Treatment (azh2o.com)

As little as $1.10/ day (water-saving membrane)

As I look to buy a thing or order a service; I often look at the thread of where the company originated.  Because I am very proud of my family who got us here – I’d like to share with you a little bit.

I often think about how a determined family survived through the trials and tribulations of growing up in Texas.

Here is a reflection of my founder father by his sibling

A Speaking Photograph

This photograph tells you about the W.J. Boyett children,  showing how even at an early age our characters were already formed. Dale and I, to left and right, are the spectators, and our brother Brian is the actor.  We are, as always, thunderstruck by whatever it is that he is doing.  He is in charge.

The photo was taken on the front porch of our house, on Christmas morning, 1942. Perhaps not a lot of Christmas presents for three children, but there was a war on.  The Christmas tree may look rather scrawny, but it does represent an effort on the part of our parents.  Only mesquites and scrub oak grew around our place, so Daddy must have driven somewhere to procure this cedar branch.  The Longhorn steers motifs belong to a pair of chaps that stayed around our house for years, although I have no recollection of either of my brothers ever wearing them.  The chaps and everything else under the tree would have been ordered from a Sears Roebuck catalog, except for the Teddy Bear.  He was a gift to me from some neighbors of ours who moved away shortly thereafter when the man joined the army.  Over the years Teddy has lost his plush and has needed eye transplants, but he is still at my side as I write this, very far away from Ibex, Texas.

Even though it is December in the photo, Dale is barefoot, and Brian would have been barefoot as well, although I appear to be wearing slippers.  This fact is important to anyone who cares to understand something about what our lives were like then.  “Menfolk” did not own such a thing as bedroom slippers. Life for farm people was mostly just work. Momma tried to protect me by keeping me in the house and by putting slippers on me, but she could not protect her sons. They were farm boys and had to work hard from an early age; this experience remained with them through life.

The little dog is barely visible on the left-hand side of the photo and apparently wearing a hat is lost to memory.

From a very humble beginning to a founder of important institutions.

A founder of the Arizona Water Quality Association

A note written on the back by William Brian Boyett:  12.11.06 This was the origination meeting of the Arizona Water Conditioning Association in the 1950’s.

Why should I rent a water softener unit from the Boyett’s for $1.33 a day (instead of buying a water softener unit)?

You will save $1,526.20 over a five-year period.

Because we live in the desert our water travels a great distance to our homes (1/3 of our water travels 715 miles through the Grand Canyon).  When the water reaches the water treatment plants chlorine is added to this water.  This chlorine disintegrates the cation resin material (this is the main cleaning ingredient in the water softeners).

A short video explaining the cation resin inspection process:

This is one of the most popular processes to have dependable and affordable soft water monthly (month by month – no contracts).

99 cents a day for one person

$1.33 a day for two or more people.

We exchange this equipment every five years at no charge…. This is how we always keep you $1,526.20 ahead.

Based upon our research and field information; the typical water softener only lasts 5 years in the Phoenix metro Arizona – East Valley Arizona area (because the cities are adding so much chlorine to the water – to kill the algae.  The tremendous amount of chlorine attacks the cation resin (the main cleaning ingredient) in the water softeners.

When the cation resin breaks down it may cause low water pressure in your home.

At some point, the cation resin may flow into your home causing low water pressure and plumbing problems.

Boyett’s family has invented a technique to make sure the cation resin never evacuates into your home (this can cause low water pressure and plumbing problems).  We have shared this with the industry because it can be so tumultuous.

To take the chlorine out of the water ‘with the soft water feature’; this is the most popular approach (we also remove that dangerous chemical pfas (the forever chemical):

Because the chlorine levels are so high in the valley, many people are choosing to remove the chlorine (no salt, no water waste, and no electricity) with this unit:

Whole House Carbon Filtration – Boyett’s Family Water Treatment (azh2o.com)

I must tell you what the best features (and some very important information) of Boyett’s family whole house water filters (no salt, no water waste, non-electric).

We exchange these units every five years (at no cost).

The main ingredient is granular activated carbon.  If this is not exchanged every five years – it will contaminate the water.

(this may be a very important aspect being overlooked when providing this service)

Boyett’s family water treatment has an industry-specific software program that keeps track of when your equipment is due for service (there is no cost to you for this service).

We utilize a principle known as indubitably exchanging your rental water treatment equipment.

  1. We send an email
  2. We send a postcard
  3. We make a phone call
  4. If you have not responded to us within four months, I stop by and leave a note at your door.

We are destined to exchange your water equipment every five years – it is a matter of water contamination; it is important.

If you have a Sears water softener; you may have a challenge getting parts for this unit in the future.

We specialize in providing recycled and some new parts for these units.

Boyett’s family water treatment is preparing to be the leader to help you keep your old water treatment equipment working.

I recently thought about this new design for a logo.

These days I am ever more intrigued with how a thing happens (the people that come together to get it done).  How do we meet people and what are the threads that bring us together?

We were fortunate to celebrate Francisco’s 20-year anniversary recently at our safety meeting.  If you rent a reverse osmosis unit from our company – you receive Francisco’s love and good workmanship.  He is good at it.  I have the honor and pleasure of working with Francisco every day.  He greets us with a happy smile and leaves with a smile.  This makes my heart smile.

In the threads of our music group (Fast Track Music Movement), we were fortunate to meet Helen.  We recently celebrated her life here:

We were so sad to say goodbye.  In this YouTube video, we celebrated her 92nd birthday.

Thank you for your trust and loyalty to us.  The perfect life for us is to connect with people who need help with your existing water equipment and solve these problems affordably and efficiently and at your convenience.

Here is an article that tells the threads of our company story:
